This weekend’s scheduled McCook Community College softball series at Las Vegas, N.M. against Luna Community College has been  pushed back three days because of weather. The MCC baseball team’s Friday doubleheader in Irving, Texas was postponed because of rain. The teams will try to make up those two games Sunday.

MCC SOFTBALL: Because of weather the four-game series between MCC and Luna will now start with a Tuesday doubleheader at 1 p.m. followed with two more games Wednesday.

MCC is 18-4 on the season and 0-2 in Region IX. Luna CC is 13-14 on the season and 1-3 in Region IX after their most recent series against Otero JC.

Because of that change MCC’s scheduled doubleheader Wednesday at Beatrice against Southeast Community College was pushed back to Sunday, March 24 with games at 1 and 3 p.m. MCC will travel to Columbus Friday for two games starting at 1 p.m. This will be the Lady Indians’ first game in the Nebraska Community College Athletic Conference. MCC will take on Southeast (4-13) on the Sunday. The Bobcats are 2-0 in the NCCAC, with wins over Central Community College.

MCC BASEBALL: Friday’s rain in the Dallas area postponed the doubleheader between MCC (5-10) and Dallas College-North Lake (13-12). The teams hope to play Sunday. Weather permitting, MCC is scheduled to take on Dallas College-Richland (17-8) Saturday in a doubleheader starting at noon.

The Indians travel to Hays, Kan. Tuesday for a 2 p.m. game against Hutchinson Community College.

MCC will open Region IX play at home March 23-25 with a four-game series against Lamar.
